To pay your deposit for a ridden course, you can telephone us (01993 9831193) to request details for making a bank transfer, or you can send us a cheque. You can also pay your deposit for a ridden course on line via Paypal, by going to the 'Products' section of the website and clicking the relevant icon. Our preference is a cheque or bank transfer. We would also like to confirm availability with you before you book, so please email or phone as above. We will endeavour to keep the table below up to date re. the availabilty of places. IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR OWN HORSE, PLEASE BE SURE THAT HE HAS HAD HIS INITIAL 2 FLUE VACCINATIONS, OR A BOOSTER WITHIN 1 YEAR. TO GET AHEAD OF THE GAME, SEND US A PHOTOGRAPH/COPY, OTHERWISE WE CHECK PASSPORTS ON ARRIVAL. FOLLOWING THE 2019 FLUE OUTBREAK WE WANT TO BE SURE WE ARE PROTECTING OUR OWN AND EVERYONE ELSE'S HORSES. The booking form allows you to state your interest in our optional extras: an extra shared or private lesson with Mary Wanless on the afternoon of arrival (demand may limit availability, especially for private lessons), and also individual Feldenkrais and/or Simulator lessons with Karin Major.

IT'S POSSIBLE THAT WE WILL NEED TO maintain social distancing, or at least remain careful, through 2022. On that assumption, ridden courses will initally be limited to 10 participants, and workshops will probably be held in the arena rather than my teaching room. 10 participants makes adjustments relatively easy to make should we need to reduce numbers, or should we be able to increase them. Courses of 8 are taught solely by Mary Wanless, with possible assistance from Karin Major. If we can return to having 12 participants, Lynda Davey will teach alongside Mary.

^The May weekend course and 4 day courses only are taught by Karin Major. They are for 6 participants each receiving a 45min private lesson each day (The main lesson on courses taught by Mary Wanless are usually shared between 2). Supervision sessions will be ground work and flat work only (no pole work or jumping). The 4 day course will include video feedback in the afternoon dismounted workshop. Different costs apply to courses where the lead coach is Mary Wanless, see table below.

****PLEASE NOTE, REGARDING TEACHER TRAINING: The Orientation Day is a requirement for first-time participants, who must have attended a 4 day ridden course in the same year. The Basic TT course follows on from either the Orientation Day above, or from previous Basic Teacher Training courses

**** Participants on advanced TT must be accredited coaches, or people who are also attending the Basic course, and have special permission from MW. If you are not yet accredited it may be possible to do the basic + advanced courses in your first or any year, especially if travelling from abroad. The TT courses follow a weekend and four day ridden course, making a viable package for overseas visitors. We hope that 2022 will allow you to follow in the footsteps of the coaches who have come to us from Australia, New Zealand, America, Canada, and many European countries!

COSTS 2022

Costs have not been been increased from 2021.

We realise that you might well be stranded here without transport, however, we have a relatively local and unusually good Co-op, and also a fridge for the use of course participants. There are always some course participants with car (and people have been known to order more gin on Amazon!) We have a microwave you can use.

Course deposits, which represent the coaching fee, can be paid by cheque, bank transfer, or on Paypal via one of the 'Courses at Overdale' buttons in the Products section. Our preference is cheque or bank transfer. Cheques should be made payable to Mary Wanless.

The second part of the fee, for stabling (which applies wether you ride your own horse or a school horse), is paid to Overdale Equestrian Centre during your course.

The fee for extra lessons (eg on the day of arrival) and also for use of a school horse will need to be paid to Mary Wanless and not Overdale. When a large number of people request an extra lesson on the day of arrival, most or all of those lessons with be shared between two. Please ask if you specifically want a private lesson, but realise that we might not able to accommodate you.
